Congenital diseases of the TT

Like many other breeds (Labrador, Nordic's...) the TT can suffer APR, LL and HD. The only ways to know if the dogs have these diseases are to make the opportune tests. In Spain there are many clubs who make these tests (Spanish Club of Retriever, Spanish Club of Nordic's...). Denying the existence of these diseases and not to control them is an irresponsibility sign.

APR: They are congenital cataracts of the dogs. The dogs that suffer this disease are becoming blind. The only way to know if a dog has this disease is making an ocular test. In other countries it is known like PRA.

LL: This is a luxation of the crystalline. This disease pronounces at the age of 3/5 years. It is a very painful disease for the dog. The only way to know if a dog has this disease or is going to suffer it is making an ocular test. In the pure Lamleh lines never a dog suffered this disease.

HD: It is a defect of the joint. In order to know if a dog has this disease an x-ray is made.

Examples: Test of eyes and x-ray.

Our dogs are reviewed periodically, according to the norms of the German Tibetan Breeds Club (KTR). The ancestors of our dogs also have been examined of above-mentioned tares. It is very difficult that some of our dogs suffer these tares.
